Rangers dominate in Boston!
After a night of rest Henrik Lundqvist responds with a stellar performance in goal stopping 29 of 30 Boston shots as the Rangers added two more points in the standings. Now holding down sole possession of 6th place in the Eastern Conference with 50 points, they are only a point behind the Bruins who now have lost two straight.
Michael Del Zotto would put the Rangers on the board first in the first period of play with a beautiful back hand driving to the net after making a move around S. Chara. Dubinsky and Girardi were the set up men on the play.
Period one was when Lundqvist would be tested and he was there for all eleven of the Bruins shots, sharp and in position the man was on his game. Especially when asked to stop a penalty shot when Marco Sturm was tripped up on a breakaway on a short handed attempt.
